Stupid Quote of the Day

It's not even 9 AM and I've already found it!

Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said that despite the end of the five-day operation, Israel would pursue further military action in the Gaza Strip until rocket fire was reduced significantly.
Um. I'm sorry. "Reduced significantly?!" What the hell does THAT mean? How about, oh, I don't know, STOPPED COMPLETELY? Does Olmert have so little backbone he can't even simply DEMAND a complete cessation of hostilities or face dire consequences? Is he so afraid of world opinion that he won't even defend his own country?

"Reduced significantly?!" Idiot.

The headline of the article I quoted is "Hamas claims Gaza 'victory' as Israel pulls back." Not the word "victory" is in quotation marks, signifying that Hamas didn't really win. And yes, while more than one hundred "Palestinians" were killed, it still is a victory, if Olmert's statement is any indication, since he essentially said, "Please, go ahead and keep lobbing rockets at us, just don't lob too many at once, ok? Thanks!"

Idiot.
