Stupid Commercial of the Day

Congratulations to BP gas company for this dubious award. They have a promotion going where you buy a minimum of five gallons of gasoline (petrol to all you non-US residents:), take your receipt to the cash register, and get a scratch card. You could win a trip or free gas for a year. Then, because they're required to do so, enumerate the terms at the end of the commercial, and the first term is "no purchase necessary." Yes. I said no purchase necessary!! If that's the case, why do I need to buy five gallons of gasoline and show the receipt?! Isn't that the definition of "purchase IS necessary?!"

:)

That's just like your other favorite - we'll give you the lowest price or your mattress is free. Obviously they'll just give you a lower price instead of giving it free!!
