It might have something to do with government legitimacy. Iran's government is legitimate (at least theoretically...) and has been in power for a long time. Hamas simply isn't and hasn't, and NO one in the world recognizes them as legitimate power, even their Fatah brethren. Perhaps he feels he can talk with Ahmedinejad. He'll soon learn differently. I think in this case it IS a bit of naivete.

But, hey! No one's perfect! :) And he DOES want to resolve differences. I just don't think he realizes what a Hitler Ahmedinejad is.; March 04, 2008 7:10 AM
