In Case Fears About Obama's Stance Are STILL Not Laid To Rest...

Headline today: Obama says U.S. should not meet with Hamas.

this makes me curious though.. why not meet with Hamas but yes meet with Iran? what is the difference?

To tell you the truth, I'm not sure.

It might have something to do with government legitimacy. Iran's government is legitimate (at least theoretically...) and has been in power for a long time. Hamas simply isn't and hasn't, and NO one in the world recognizes them as legitimate power, even their Fatah brethren. Perhaps he feels he can talk with Ahmedinejad. He'll soon learn differently. I think in this case it IS a bit of naivete.

But, hey! No one's perfect! :) And he DOES want to resolve differences. I just don't think he realizes what a Hitler Ahmedinejad is.
