Bitter Woman?
Yup! Geraldine Ferraro, who sits on Clinton's finance committee, had said: "If Obama was a white man, he would not be in this position." Um. Ok. That's just dumb. She went on to say the following:
And if he was a woman -- of any color -- he would not be in this position. He happens to be very lucky to be who he is. And the country is caught up in the concept.Who is this person? Well, she's a Democratic Congresswoman from New York, obviously a Hillary supporter, and obviously still bitter, fourteen years later, that Mondale didn't win the presidential elections in 1984. Why is she bitter? Because she ran with Mondale as his VP, the only woman to run for so high an office. Seeing Hillary's nomination slipping away, she decided to chime in with her own racist comments about Obama. Isn't that lovely?
And for the record, I didn't and won't vote for Obama because he's black or because we have the same first name. I voted for him and will, God willing, vote for him come November, because I truly and honestly believe he's the best person for the job.

After watching documentaries about both candidates, it is clear that Hillary Clinton's entire goal in life has been to be the first woman president. Then along comes someone who could keep her from accomplishing that, and on top of that it's someone who would be the first black president. (Which is probably something that in other circumstances she would greatly support.) I think that's where the bitterness from her and some of her supporters is coming from, rather than calmly discussing the issues.
