Grumble, Grumble...
Well, Obama seems to have lost Texas and Ohio (as well as Rhode Island). Unfortunately, playing hoops just wasn't enough to overcome Clinton's HUGE leads, no matter how close he got. But, Obama is still ahead in pledged delegates, and that's important. If he reaches 1627 PLEDGED delegates (not counting the superdelegates), he will still have won a majority of pledged delegates, putting the superdelegates in a position to either vote as the popular vote votes, or go against the will of the people and elect someone who does not deserve, according to the popular vote, to be nominated as the Democratic presidential candidate in 2008.
Now, here's an interesting, and pretty good scenario that may very well come to be, if Clinton is logical and sensible and IF she is the presidential nominee. Should she be that Democratic presidential candidate, if she chose Obama as her running mate (which would give her all the charisma and influence she needs to WIN the presidency), she will be the likely winner come November. If she does a good job, and I have no reason to think she won't (I've stated before I will CERTAINLY vote for her if Obama loses, and especially if Obama is her running mate), she will get re-elected come 2012. Guess who that leaves as the most likely Democratic presidential candidate for 2016? Uh-huh. Barack Obama. Either way, Obama wins. He'll just have to wait a bit longer.
One thing that pisses me off. While Hillary was expected to win in Ohio, her smear of Obama with the Canada NAFTA thing clinched it, and that was dirty politics, the kind of dirty politics Obama has been avoiding and the kind that has worked for Hillary in the past.
