Hey! Don't Look at Hard Numbers and Facts! If Dubya Says the Economy Is Just Fine, It Must Be So. Right?
No. Not really. In fact, he's dead wrong, as usual. The Idiot has yet one more screw-up as his legacy - F-----G up the US economy, all in the name of big business. Oh, and so much for the Republican mantra of smaller government and less spending:
The government added 38,000 new jobs in February on top the 4,000 new hires in in January. And the article called this a "bright spot." And the Republicans wonder why the rest of the country wants change?! Of course we want change! This country, its policies, and its economy have spiraled out of control under Republican rule since 1994 (with the Republican takeover of Congress), and especially since January 20, 2001. Even the slight Democratic lead in Congress hasn't been enough to stem the disastrous Republican tidal wave hitting this country. McCain said in his victory speech that he loves this country. This is not the whole truth. He loves the opportunity this country has given to big business and big government Republicans to take over screw everyone else.
No matter who the Democratic nominee is, I believe, come November, things are going to change drastically in Washington. I have a feeling the Democrats are going to take a huge majority in Congress and win the White House. Then, they can start repairing the Republican damage of the last fourteen years. Let's just hope the country has enough sense to keep the Democrats in power for much longer than just a few years.
