Oh, somehow I missed the memo until I saw it on CNN last night. Sarah Palin eloped (THIS is conservative "family values") without even telling her best friend with whom she was supposed to meet that night (and didn't, by the way).

Why did she elope? Well, she had her first child, Track (named, of all things, because the dude was born during track season - how freakin' hick is that?!), less than eight months after getting married. Hm. Now, she COULD have given birth over a month early. CERTAINLY it's happened before. Of COURSE it's not THAT unusual. Usually, however, it's really NOT the case...

And somehow, I just get the feeling the Vice Presidential candidate for the so-called "family values" party of the United States, the Republican party, wasn't exactly practicing the "values" she apparently holds so incredibly dear that she allowed her own seventeen year old daughter to make the same mistake, including forcing her to marry a hockey jock at such a young age, because we all know the success rates of such marriages are just SO high...
