GREAT "Family Values" There...

Hillary Clinton was campaigning last week for Mike McMahon for Congress (House). McMahon is running for a seat recently vacated by a Republican. Why is the Republican NOT seeking reelection?

Democrat Mike McMahon is running for a congressional seat being vacated by Republican Vito Fossella.

Fossella decided not to seek re-election after a drunken driving arrest and a revelation that he fathered a child outside his marriage.
Hm. A Republican with a negligible conscience. Gee. What a surprise.

And yes, I know Democrats can sometimes be just as bad (ex-governor Spitzer comes to mind), but it seems these indiscretions happen far more often with Republicans than they do with Democrats, and especially Republicans who vocally despise anyone without their version of "family values."

hot off the AP:

Charlie Gibson (from ABC) Scores First Palin Interview

"Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin has agreed to sit down with ABC's Charles Gibson later this week for her first television interview since John McCain chose her as his running mate more than a week ago."

"...a McCain-Palin adviser had said earlier Sunday that the interview was expected to take place later this week in Alaska..."

"The first-term Alaska governor has given speeches alongside McCain since becoming his surprise pick on Aug. 29. But Democrats have already begun to question why Palin has not been put before reporters to answer questions."

[I think some of you can answer that yourselves.]

"McCain campaign manager Rick Davis complained that the media has focused too much on 44-year-old Palin's personal life. Many of those stories came after McCain's campaign announced that Palin's unwed 17-year-old daughter was pregnant. News reports also have questioned her record as a reformer in Alaska."

[Sure...blame the media. The next paragraph said she's not scared, so I ask, why run away?]

"She's not scared to answer questions..."

"The relevant questions about Palin all related to her experience and policy positions as a mayor and governor of Alaska."

[That'll burn 30 seconds, since any other topics are verboten.]

"...But Democrats and even some Republicans have questioned whether she is ready to answer unscripted questions about national and international issues."

[Even her own party doesn't seem to have FAITH in her.]
