Last Night's Speeches

So, I watched both McCain's and Obama's speeches last night (truth be told, I watched Hillary's too, but that's no longer relevant, even if she becomes Obama's pick for VP).

Did you notice the difference? McCain had this tiny little crowd that was practically asleep. He spoke as though he were a first semester speech class student at a community college. And he lied and lied and lied. You can catch McCain's speech here. I'm going to actually soil my blog with his crap. Suffice to say, the man drew a crowd of about 200.

Then came Obama's speech. He spoke before a crowd totaling 32,000 people (about 17,000 inside, 15,000 outside). Ironically, he spoke at the same arena where the Republican convention is scheduled to take place in September.

And Obama TROUNCED and COMPLETELY WIPED OUT McCain's speech. It was beautiful. It was history in the making. And the DNC Convention that will formally declare Barack Obama the Democratic nominee for President of the United States of America will take place on the 45th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s "I Have a Dream speech.

Here's MLK's speech:

And, in case you missed it below, here's Obama's speech, given June 3, 2008.

To be honest, McCain just doesn't have a chance. And that's a good thing.
