It's Official: Bush. Worst. President (Illegally, I Might Add). EVER.

According to the respected ABC/Washington Post survey:

President George W. Bush's job approval rating has dropped to a record low of just 23 percent, which is below the lowest of Richard Nixon, forced to resign in 1974 over the Watergate scandal.
So. It's definitely official. Governor Idiot is the absolute worst president. Ever.

Also in the survey:
A record 90 percent of registered voters now say the country is seriously off on the wrong track, the most since this question first was asked in 1973, the survey indicated.

In the wake of the banking crisis, just 44 percent of Americans were still confident they will have enough money to carry them through retirement, down from a high of 69 percent three years ago.
Can you say: RECESSION/DEPRESSION?

The thing is, Harry Truman was also one of the least popular presidents of all time, yet most people today consider him one of the greatest.

Maybe we're all delusional and in the generations to come, Bush will end up being lauded as a great president.

I doubt it, but you never know.

It's funny you should mention that. I spoke to father-in-law about this today. He's old enough to remember what was going on. He told me the approval rating wasn't because he was bad. He was actually quite good. The approval rating was because the Republican party (surprise, surprise), headed by Nixonism (Nixon created McCarthyism) used Truman as a whipping boy to get themselves into power. In essence, they demonized him.

In contrast, we KNOW Bush has been doing a HORRIBLE job! :)
